I have just finished my national service and is on the look out for courses in creative arts and design. (multimedia, animation and post production). Athough I have found a lot of courses in US, UK and Australia, almost all of them are out of my budget. The income from my dad is only enough for all our monthly expenses. What I propose to do now is to work for maybe 2 to 3 years and save up money. 

I am actually hoping for some company willing to sponsor me for an overseas education. What I am interested to learn is 3D animation, digital effects, post production, multimedia. My dream would be working in a post production company dealing with special effects. If any one of you knows of any good courses that I can attend, do let me know. Ever since seeing movies like Jurassic Park, Toy Story, Starship Troopers, etc. I always wanted to be able to create something similar. Furthermore, this kind of technology is still quite new in Singapore. I wanted to be the one of the first few people to use the technology. 

What actually got me into wanting a career in the design and techology field is because the the army. After passing out from Basic Military Training, I was posted to Provost Unit at mowbray Camp. 3 months of Basic Military Police course followed my posting, afterwhich I was posted to School of Provost. I was then sent to several multimedia authoring courses as I was choosen to head the multimedia branch( computer aided instruction ) in the School of Provost. After being expose to all the courses, I finally realised that this design and technology field is much more suited to me than what I have studied in Singapore Polytechnic. I was a graduate from SP with a diploma in Architectural Technology. After much thoughts about everything, I have finally come out with a career path to undertake. I hope that everything will go as planned and I will be awarded a degree. At last by then, I will be able to use the technology and skill learnt and apply it to the Singapore context.
